Team of the Week: Anderson A year after winning just two district games a year ago, the Trojans are off to a 2-0 start in district play this season following wins over Del Valle (52-42) and Hays (48-39). Anderson (6-9, 2-0 District 25-6A), which has also matched its season win total of a year ago with six, also took weekend wins over Mission Pioneer and Cornerstone Christian at the Canyon/New Braunfels Classic. Trojans coach Katrina Hall noted Cai Wilson (see below), Savanna Tucker and Chloe Hightower have all played well this year. Tucker leads the team on defense and in blocks, while pulling down 10 rebounds against Hays. Hightower had back-to-back double-doubles in the weekend tournament. Player of the Week: Cai Wilson, Anderson Wilson, a senior guard, is averaging 20 points per game to lead the Trojans this season, and in the win over Hays, passed 1,000 points for her career. The Trojans have a bye Tuesday, then have a big district game Friday at Bowie.
